ComEd Energy Efficiency Program: Small Business and Facilities

  • Program Summary: ComEd customers that operate smaller businesses and facilities (peak demand under 400 kW) are eligible for incentives on energy-saving projects in their buildings. Building owners can submit an interest form and get matched with a ComEd-approved Service Provider that will complete an energy assessment, compile a list of recommendations, and coordinate project delivery. The Service Provider can also apply ComEd incentives to bring project costs down. The program applies to existing buildings looking to pursue energy efficiency upgrades.

  • Applicable building size: Must have peak demand under 400 kW
  • Ownership/organization type: Small businesses and facilities including, but not limited to: retail stores, warehouses, convenience stores, low rise offices, restaurants, fire departments, park districts, libraries, learning institutions, government buildings
  • Eligible projects: Building envelope, HVAC, lighting, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems

  • Funding: Incentives will vary based on project type. Can cover up to 75% of project costs.

  • Answer a short questionnaire about your building.
  • Request an assessment time.
  • Receive an assessment from a qualified Service Provider.
  • Receive a list of project recommendations.
  • Select projects based on list of recommendations.
  • Service provider will coordinate project completion and applicable incentives.
