Eligible projects: Building envelope, HVAC, lighting, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems
Funding: Incentives will vary based on project type. Can cover up to 75% of project costs.
Ownership/organization type: Small businesses and facilities including, but not limited to: retail stores, warehouses, convenience stores, low rise offices, restaurants, fire departments, park districts, libraries, learning institutions, government buildings
Program Name: Peoples Gas Energy Efficiency Program

Funding: Incentive amounts vary based on project type. The program also offers free energy assessments and engineering services.
Program Name: Nicor Rebates
Applicable building size: Varies – different incentives are available for different buildings, depending on size and usage.
Eligible projects: Space & Water Heating, Steam Traps, Boiler Tune-Ups, Commercial Food Service, Agriculture, Air Sealing and Insulation
Funding: Incentive amounts vary depending on project type.
Program Name: SBA 504 Green Loan
Applicable building size: Any owner-occupied commercial real estate; new ground-up construction is also eligible.
Eligible projects: Renewable Energy, Reduce Energy Consumption, Sustainable Design, Minimize Environmental Impact, Energy Efficiency
Funding: SBA maximum contribution of $5.5 million cap with no maximum total project size limit. Borrowers can have multiple SBA 504 Green Loans with no aggregate cap limit on capital.
